When building a model, one often has to download data from databases or on-line sources. Very often, such data is not in the exact form required, and some manipulation is required. This posting discusses how Excel’s® TEXT functions can often be used to help this process.

The @RISK® simulation software can cope with the presence of circular references within an Excel model (providing that such references are convergent, not divergent or floating).
